We have an opportunity for a Clinical Services Manager to oversee the management and integration of the headspace Access & Engagement Intake Team, Early Intervention mental health team and Early Intervention drug and alcohol service (DARE) for young people and their friends and families across the southwest. You’ll work autonomously, with occasional travel around the region, to deliver early intervention mental health support to a small caseload of young people. The role is full-time.

About us:

Brophy Family and Youth Services is a quality Child Safe accredited, not-for-profit organisation providing a wide range of family, youth and children services across South-west Victoria. We provide headspace services to provide early intervention health services to young people aged 12 – 25 years of age, along with assistance in promoting young people's wellbeing.

We support young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drug services, as well as work and study support. With a focus on early intervention, we work with young people to provide support at a crucial time in their lives – to help get them back on track and strengthen their ability to manage their mental health in the future.

In addition to joining a supportive and tight-knit team that thrives on providing support and assistance to young people and their families, you’ll receive a salary circa $105,038 – $109,432 + super and salary sacrificing options of up to $15,899.

How you'll make a difference

Working as part of a collaborative and supportive Leadership team, you will provide leadership, clinical supervision and guidance to a multi-disciplinary team in the implementation and evaluation of service system improvements when supporting integrated triage, assessment and pathways to appropriate mental health and wellbeing services.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Line management to the headspace Access & Engagement Intake Team, Early Intervention mental health team and Early Intervention drug and alcohol service (DARE)
  • Developing and overseeing the programs’ professional development plans
  • Maintain personal competency in the performance of high-quality, evidence-based clinical and technical skills through involvement in direct therapeutic service delivery.
  • Provide leadership support, consultation, supervision and expertise to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and services across various sectors.

What You'll Bring to the Team

To thrive in this role, you will have a natural drive for success, an enthusiastic nature, and be ready to provide high-level leadership. Our ideal candidate will have substantial experience delivering evidence-based mental health/Alcohol and Other Drug Services and advanced level leadership skills.

It is essential you have a background in clinical governance and risk management, as well as the following:

  • Hold a tertiary-level qualification in an Allied Health discipline, including Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Dual Diagnosis
  • Have current or be eligible for full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and/or current membership with a discipline-specific professional registration agency.
  • Hold a current driver's license
  • Have or obtain a Victorian Working with Children's Check
  • Have or obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
  • Although not essential, AHPRA approval to provide supervision to clinical placement students will be highly desirable.
